Congratulations to Matt Schultz, Who Just Won His Second Remington of the Series!

We could have been in for a long haul in this heads up battle, with both players at least 50 big blinds deep. But as can often be the case in No-Limit Hold'em, the matchup was over before we knew it! On the final hand, Matt Schultz limped in, and Duey Duong checked his option. Both players knuckled after a flop of [5d][Qh][2h], and the [4d] hit the turn. Duong led small for 12,000, and Schultz raised to 62,000. Duong fired back with a reraise to 162,000, and Schultz called to see the [10d] come on the river.

Despite the backdoor flush coming in, Duong led right out for 200,000. Schultz tanked for a while before asking Duong how much more he had behind. It was about 350,000 or so, and after another minute or so in the tank, Schultz shoved. Duong seemed to be in disbelief by the shove, but he ended up making the call with [6s][3s] for a straight. It was no good though, as Schultz tabled [Kd][3d] for a flush.

Duong will take home $29,810 for his efforts, but the night belongs to Matt Schultz, who takes down his second Remington trophy in as many weeks! Schultz will take home $42,500, upping his total earnings in this series to over six figures.
