It's a good time to be poker pro Tim Cramer. Two months ago, Cramer took down the first ever So Cal Poker Championship, a tournament that played out at four casinos over a period of four months. He earned over $325,000 for his win there, and he has carried that momentum through to this year's LAPC, as he just took down the $100,000 Guaranteed Event, earning just under $45,000.

"It feels really good. I came in short today I was maybe 14 out of 18 and won a lot of fortunate pots. Things just went my way. I also won two huge pots where my opponent flopped a flush draw and I faded them. Won a really crucial all in with 12 bigs on the final table bubble I shoved J10 from the cutoff and they happened to have nines and sevens luckily. I won that hand and just went from there."

As Cramer stated, he was one of the short stacks to start the day, but some fortunate hands saw him build up a nice chip stack. Cramer took the chip lead with four players left, and though he lost it a couple of times, he took it down in the end.

"It's nice to win alot of crucial all ins at the end you just need to have those to win tournaments. I think I'm playing at the top of my game too."

Cramer was nearly at the wrong end of a horrific beat in his heads up battle with Brandon Cantu. With Cantu holding the lead, Cramer got it in about as good as you can preflop, holding pocket aces vs the [Ah][6h] of Cantu. However, Cantu flopped a flush draw, and turned a six for even more outs. Cramer was able to fade the outs, and went on to seal the deal not long after.

Now, Cramer turns his attention to the Main Event, a tournament that has given him mixed feelings recently. In the last two years, Cramer has made it down to the unofficial final table both times. However, he was left with a bitter sweet taste in his mouth, as he was bounced in 10th place last year, and 9th place the year before. This year, Cramer is ready to make another deep run at this massive Main Event.

"I love the tournament. It plays super deep great structure. I think I know how a lot of the LA regs play. It's definitely one of my favorite 10ks of the year."

Will Cramer continue his scintillating play in the Main Event? Be sure to come back here this weekend to find out!
