Today's $350 OE Event has drawn a big crowd so far, as we just crossed the 100 player mark. We still have two and a half hours of registration to go, so this field size will only be growing. Come on down and join us!

Chris Grigorian Eliminated in 5th Place ($1,830)

Grigorian: [x][x] / [3c][7s][2d][Kh] / [x]
Diep: [x][x] / [Ad][9c][Ks][8d] / [x]
Treolo: [x][x] / [7c][3s][4d][Jh] / [x]

Chris Grigorian was all in on third street, and he got two callers from Wayne Diep and John Treolo. Those two players would check down the side pot, and Diep rolled over [As][6c][5d] at the end for a pair of aces. Neither Treolo or Grigorian would make a low, and the aces were good enough for the high, meaning the whole pot went to Diep.

That gets us down to our final four players. As of yet, there hasn't been any discussion of a deal.

Scott Brooks Eliminated in 4th Place ($2,370)

Scott Brooks was all in by sixth street against chip leader John Treolo, who made a six high straight on that card to leave Brooks drawing dead. That get us down to just three players for this next Remington Trophy.

We went over to the Omaha 8/Stud 8 event just now and grabbed a few photos of some of the notables over there. Albert Shim is back looking for another final table to add to his resume so far this series, as he already has a first and second place showing. We also spotted Henry Ferguson, who made the final table of the Triple Stud Event yesterday as well. Scroll down for a few more photos as we progress through another fantastic Mixed Game event!

Treolo: [x][x] / [Qs][10d][9h][6h] / [x]
Wong: [x][x] / [8s][2h][2d][10h] / [x]

Wing Wong was all in by fifth street, and he was in big trouble, as John Treolo had [Qd][Qc] in the hole for rolled up queens. Wong had [Ac][5h] in the hole, and he was looking for a low card to chop the pot. The [10h] on sixth street was no help for him, and neither was the [Qh] on seventh street.

This leaves us with just two players: John Treolo and Wayne Diep. Both players are fairly even now, and they aren't talking chop, so we are in it for the long haul!

John Treolo has strung together a series of pots, and he has crippled Wayne Diep down to just one big bet.

Wayne Diep Eliminated in 2nd Place ($6,050), John Treolo is the Champion!

Wayne Diep was all in three hands in a row, chopping the first two, before succumbing in the third one.

Diep: [3d][2c] / [3c][Qh][Jc][Kd] / [2s]
Treolo: [9d][Jh] / [7s][6h][6c][10d] / [Js]

Treolo held the lead throughout the hand, and on the seventh card, both players drew a second pair. But Treolo's two pair were better, and he took down the pot. For his efforts, he will take home $9,800, and is the latest Remington Trophy winner her at the 2017 LAPC!

We are at the halfway point of the $250,000 Guaranteed Event, and we are well on our way to smashing the guarantee. Just like the previous flights, players will start today with 15,000 in chips, and all blind levels will be 15 minutes long. Registration for this flight will be open until 7:15 PM tonight, and the top 5% of survivors will be moving on to Sunday's finals.

Good luck everyone!

Player Profile: Jeff Treolo, Winner of the $350 Stud 8 Event

The Mixed Games action is continuing here at the 2017 LAPC, and the latest Remington winner is Jeff Treolo. Treolo came to Commerce Casino and the LAPC for the first time earlier this week, and in just his second tournament here, he has claimed victory. An ecstatic Treolo told us after his victory how great it was to finally play at Commerce.

"I feel really good. There are great players I played with everyone was cordial and very friendly nice place to play here."

Treolo says he is usually a cash game player, and only has one cash for just over $1,000 to his credit. He said that any form of Stud is his favorite game, and he was right at home in this event, holding the chip lead throughout the final table.

"I was fortunate enough to be the chip leader was able to hold onto that but alot of tough players it was great."

Treolo is from Vegas originally, and he won't be out here grinding the entire series. But he did tell us that he plans to come back for the HORSE event next week, and the Stud event the week after. When asked if he would be pursuing the Player of the Series race, he let out a laugh, and told us this.

"That would be great but I don't play Hold'em tournaments so I don't think I'd have a chance in that."

This is the last Mixed Game Event of the week, but we are picking them up again next Monday with a Pot-Limit Omaha Event. Be sure you don't miss out on the $250,000 Guaranteed Event, which is playing it's final four legs over the next two days!

There were simultaneous eliminations on two different tables in the $250,000 Guaranteed flight, which means there is no need for hand-for-hand play! The final 29 players are all in the money, but we still need to play down to the final 11 players before the bags come out.
