Rick Alvarado was the short stack coming into the final table, and it didn't take him long to get his money in preflop holding [Ah][Qh]. He was up against the [3c][3s] of Erick Lee, and after the board ran down nine high, Alvarado was sent to the payout desk.

Ryan Lenaghan Eliminated in 9th Place ($12,450)

Ryan Lenaghan got his final chips in the middle holding [Qh][Qc], but unfortunately for him, Rong Chen had one of the two hands he didn't want to see: [Ah][As]. The board never brought another queen for Lenaghan, and he was sent to the rail.

Michael Katz Eliminated in 8th Place ($$16,600)

Facing an open raise, Sean Yu three-bet it. It folded a few seats over to Michael Katz, who tossed out a four-bet. Not to be deterred, Yu five-bet shoved into Katz, who quickly made the call.

Katz: [Ac][Ad]
Yu: [9s][2s]

Yu got his hand caught in the cookie jar, but a flop of [6h][3s][10s] brought him plenty of life. The turn was the ultimate action card, the [As], giving Katz trip aces, but Yu a flush. The river brought the [Qc], and a dumbfounded Katz was sent to the rail in 8th place.

Updated Counts From the Final Seven

Sean Yu took down another huge pot in a three way battle shortly after knocking out Michael Katz, and he has built up a huge lead here seven handed. Check below for a full breakdown of the chip counts, as we continue play here at this final table.

Blinds: 12,000-24,000

Sean Yu - 2.85 million
Erkut Yilmaz - 1.6 million
Erick Lee - 950,000
Brandon Long - 570,000
Rong Chen - 570,000
Yuming Lin - 510,000
Louis Laxineta - 370,000

Louis Laxineta Eliminated in 7th Place ($20,760)

There is already about 250,000 in the middle when Sean Yu is faced with an overbet shove from Louis Laxineta. The flop reads [10c][9h][5c], and the bet is for 564,000. After a couple of minutes in the tank, Yu makes the call, and sees that he's in a virtual coin flip.

Yu: [Kd][10d]
Laxineta: [Jc][7c]

The [Kh] on the turn gives Yu two pair, and he would need that card, as the [Jd] came on the river, giving Laxineta a now useless pair of jacks.

With that, the Sean Yu show continues, as he holds nearly half the chips in play with six players left.

Two Double Ups to Report

$

Facing a raise from Sean Yu, Erick Lee moved all in for just over 500,000. Yu told Lee this was his favorite hand, and that he was ready to gamble as he called with Jack-Ten. Lee held King-Queen, and a queen on the flop kept him in the lead until the end.

His new chips wouldn't last very long though, as a few hands later he lost a coin flip to Yuming Lin, who is now second in chips with 1.2 million.

Erkut Yilmaz Crippled, Eliminated in 6th Place ($24,910)

Action folded around to Brandon Long on the button, and he shoved all in for his final 465,000. In the big blind, Erkut Yilmaz quickly called, having just 75,000 more.

Long: [As][9s]
Yilmaz: [Kh][Kc]

Yilmaz was in great shape for the knockout, but that lead lasted one card, as an ace was in the window on a flop of [Ad][7c][5h]. The board didn't bring a miracle king, and Yilmaz was left with just two big blinds. He was all in on the next hand, and once again, Sean Yu did the deed, flopping bottom pair and holding up against Yilmaz's Ace-Eight.

Rong Chen Eliminated in 5th Place ($31,130)

$

Sean Yu raised to 100,000, and Rong Chen shoved all in for about 550,000. It folded back around to Yu, who called after just a few moments of thought.

Yu: [Ad][Js]
Chen: [As][7s]

The flop strengthened Yu's hand, coming down [Jh][2c][10c]. The [Ac] on the turn ended things, and the meaningless river was the [9s].

Lin Doubles Through Yu

Sean Yu open shoved all in, having the whole table combined covered. It folded around to Yuming Lin, who quickly called all in.

Lin: [Ah][Qs]
Yu: [Ad][4d]

The flop of [8d][3h][8s] brought chop outs for Yu, but the [Qc] on the turn ended things, giving Lin the double up to 1.5 million, and putting a small dent into Yu's chip stack.
